Frequently asked questions about the Sylvia Rodger Institute

As we no longer receive funding through the Australian Government Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) program, we are changing our name to the Sylvia Rodger Institute. The Sylvia Rodger name has a longstanding connection to Autism CRC initiatives and programs.

We continue our commitment to translating evidence into practical guidance and resources, strengthening capability, and working collaboratively with partners to create positive outcomes for autistic people, their families and carers.

Our name is changing, but our purpose, vision and mission remain the same. We will continue to deliver trusted, evidence-based resources, programs and national guidance, and work closely with our partners and stakeholders in the autistic and autism communities across Australia and beyond.

The new website has been designed to provide a better experience and make it easier to find and access resources, information and services. Some sections of the website may still be in development.

Resources on the Autism CRC website will remain available at least until the end of 2026, while we progressively move resources to the new website.

Yes. Key resources, platforms, publications, courses and tools will continue to be available.

Yes. Your login and password details will not change. Visit the Best Practice Portal.

No. You will continue to receive updates and communications from us, although you may notice our new name, branding and email addresses reflected in future emails and materials.

No. Websites for inclusionED, myWAY Employability and Self-Advocacy@Work will keep their current web addresses.

The Sylvia Rodger Academy will now be known as the Sylvia Rodger Institute Academy (the Academy), and we will continue to offer Academy programs for autistic adults. Our Academy alumni are an important part of our organisation and will continue to receive updates through the Academy mailing list. For more information, visit the Academy.

Emails sent to @autismcrc.com.au addresses will continue to be forwarded to the Sylvia Rodger Institute team, and you will receive an out-of-office message with our new contact details. Future correspondence will come from our new Sylvia Rodger Institute email addresses, in the format firstname@sylviarodgerinstitute.au (for example, mary@sylviarodgerinstitute.au).
